Project Description

***Updated Scope Approved 5/19/2023 Board Action*** Three distinct sections and revised drainage solution. Stormwater will be collected with catch basins and conveyed to drywells. Additional capacity for overflow will occur at a recently constructed swale near the new fire station (mid section vicinity). The intent is to avoid slope erosion particularly on the upper section where 21 side slopes exist. The pavement scope is different for each section Lower section - Twin Lakes Road to 1000 feet south (first curve vicinity) - pulverize existing asphalt, regrade roadway crown, 5” crushed surfacing top course (CSTC), and overlay with 3.5” of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Mid section - between curves – install 12” perf pipe from catch basins to a down gradient drywell and existing swale adjacent to the fire department property. Full depth shoulder widening and 0.15’ full section HMA overlay. Upper section – Second Curve vicinity to project limit – Widen shoulders with 4” CSTC and 1.25” HMA. 0.15’ full section HMA overlay.
