Existing ConditionsN. Ahtanum Road was last assessed by TIB in 2022 and scored a pavement condition rating of 11. A portion of the road, which serves the Emerald Care nursing home, Yakima Valley Farmworkers Medical Clinic, Yakima Fruit and Cold Storage, and Yakima Roche Fruit Storage is mainly composed of gravel. While agriculture is the backbone of the economy in this area, but dust from the large agricultural trucks driving over this road inundates the nursing home facility. The City needs to improve this road to provide access to the aforementioned facilities located along this route. |
