Existing ConditionsMain Avenue West is a collector street that extends from the Central Business District to the residential neighborhoods on the west side of the City. The street has been a priority for repair for many years. In 2008, the City overlayed and reconstructed sidewalks from Division to Cherry. At that time, the utilities were determined to be in very poor condition. The City has recently replaced water and sewer mains from Cherry St to the west. The roadway has poor pavement and sidewalks with extensive spalling and alligator cracking. The roadway is also very wide. |
