Existing ConditionsThe pavement for both roadways is in poor condition. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) for Morton street is 50.5 and for Sumner Street is 31.9 Morton Street: primarily longitudinal and fatigue cracking with severity ranging from low to high; low to moderate severity transverse cracking; high severity patching; moderate to high severity potholes. Sumner Street: same issues as Morton, but more severe and with higher frequency. |

Description of Improvements
Either full depth reclamation (FDR) or full reconstruction could be used for either roadway. The best method will be determined during design. Proposed pavement sections could include: FDR: 2 AC pavement over 9 of base. Full reconstruction: 2 AC pavement over 14 of base.
