Existing Conditions

Garfield serves as an access route to the Whitson Elementary School, Rheingarten Park (including businesses within the Park Center Building that is located within Rheingarten Park), and the core downtown commercial area.

Description of Improvements

The roadway will be excavated and a roadbase will be installed between W. Jewett Blvd. and NW Washington St. Most of the road failure is due to lack of road base. A sidewalk will be installed along the east side connecting it to the sidewalk on Lincoln Street and W. Jewett Blvd. The Lincoln Street Project was completed 2 years ago.
