Old Pacific Highway is a major collector that connects residential housing developments in the southern portion of the City to the Downtown Kalama area. There is an approximate gap of 300 feet in the otherwise completed 5,100 foot long sidewalk along Old Pacific Highway just north of Quartz Way. Sidewalk resumes on the opposite side of the roadway 300 feet north of the gap. Pedestrians must walk along a gravel shoulder and cross mid block on a road with no street lighting.
