This project is a continuation of the Pedestrian Plan process and adopted by City Council through the 2017 Comprehensive Plan update. Existing conditions are a worn dirt path created by pedestrian use within the ROW and behind the curb line.

Project Description
Install separated sidewalks when there is sufficient right of way space to do so. Upgrades to six (6) bus stops for the Spokane Transit Authority (STA) will also be completed as a part of this project for STAs high-performance line 33.
Existing Condition
Project Benefits
- The sidewalk will improve a route commonly used by pedestrians along the corridor who may have difficulty finding vehicular transportation due to economics or age. Specifically, this project connects census tracts 10 and 11 (2013 ACS), with disability levels of 13.7% and 18.7%, respectively - Census tract 10 (2013 ACS) indicates a high youth population under the age of 10 (14.1%) and will also connect census tracts 10 and 11 (2013 ACS), with 13.8% and 17.8% of the population over the age of 65. This project will complete the last gap of transportation infrastructure improvements in an area of targeted investment by the City.
