Project Description

This project improves Rucker Avenue between Pacific Avenue and Everett Avenue as a transit-oriented street. The project improves curbs, sidewalk, street furnishings, landscaping, and installs a low impact development storm drainage system. It also installs center median with turn pockets, rehabilitates pavement, reconfigures parking, and adds decorative LED street lights.

Existing Condition

Rucker Avenue between Pacific Avenue and Hewitt Avenue is a four-lane arterial street with a two-way left turn lane and parallel parking. The section between Hewitt Avenue and Everett Avenue is a three lane arterial street with angle parking. Traffic is heavy and the street is relatively unattractive.
