Project Description
The TIB worked with the City and selected a designated pavement design firm. Pavement Services Inc. was selcted as the consultant. The challenge was to come up with econimoical cost effective alternatives for maintenance on low volume roads. Some of the requirements were to evaluate fiber in the pavement, FDR and any other viable aletrnatives. PSI, Inc and the TIB arrived at 3 sections Segment 1 (Captain Gray to Ortelius) 3' section. One lane with fiber and one without Segment 2 (Ortelius to Ortelius) 3' section. One lane with fiber and one without Segment 3 (Ortelius to Captain Gray) Double Chip seal Segment 4 (Scarboro Ln.) was added through a change order and will receive a 2' non-fiber overlay with 2 sections of pavement repair.
