Project Description

Morton is a TIB Red Town. This project grinds the existing pavement and places a two-inch asphalt overlay on Adams Avenue and Wood Avenue from 1st Street to Knittles Way, and on Westlake Avenue from 2nd Street to Knittles Way and Airport Road from Westlake Avenue to the east end. This project will also grind the existing pavement on Adams Street from 2nd Street to 1st Street, place a 1-inch asphalt prelevel and a 2-inch asphalt wearing course. The City is providing an additional $11,000 for utility work that will be completed in conjunction with the Adams Street work. All sidewalk ramps within the project limits will be upgraded to current standards. This project is a combination of the FY 2013 Overlay Project, FY 2014 Red Town Project, and the current FY 2015 Overlay Project.
