Existing ConditionsCounty Road connects SR 170 and the Central Business District to the industrial/agricultural facilities in the northern portion of the City and extending north as Road U SE to I-90. The road is used by the agricultural production facilities within the City limits, as well as farm to market trucks and traffic passing through the City. Truck use of the roadway is very heavy during harvest times. The City is also exploring the possibility of constructing a truck park and ride type facility that would be located just north of the project limits. The existing roadway shows signs of subgrade failure (alligator cracking) as well as other signs of distress (thermal cracking, etc.). |
