There is a current sidewalk disconnect between the Kimball Creek neighborhood, which includes the Encompass Child Development Center to the downtown business district as well as City Hall. Currently all pedestrians traveling to or from the SE Kimball Creek Drive neighborhood, along with homeowners living along 384th Ave SE, are required to travel in the gravel shoulder of a 25mph/35mph arterial roadway.

Project Description
A sidewalk will be added to the eastern edge of 384th Ave SE from SE Kimball Creek Drive to SE Newton Street, roughly 2,100 feet. This will complete the sidewalk gap that exists from the downtown business district to the SE Kimball Creek Drive neighborhood. Crosswalks will also be added to the SE 85th St intersection which will allow users from the adjacent neighborhood to safely access the sidewalk as well as access the bus stop located at the north west corner of the 384th Ave SE SE 85th St intersection. The width of the sidewalk will be a minimum of 6 feet.
