Lefevre St. is the Citys central corridor through town and is also a State Highway (SR 902). The road section from curb to curb is 60 and the road currently has 2 travel lanes followed by a vast open area between the fogline and the parallel parking with a 30 MPH speed limit. This causes general mayhem with vehicles coming to abrupt stops, constantly passing on the right, and left turn stacking in the travel lane. Bicyclists currently use the vast open area between the fog and the parking to travel and though there have been little to no incidents with bicyclists, the bicyclists rarely travel on Lefevre anymore, skipping past businesses and the city center. The bicyclists would use Lefevre if facilities were provided as both ends connect to the Citys North Trail System that circles around Medical Lake and throughout various neighborhoods in the City. Current approaches are not to ADA standards and school kids walk from the High School to the city center.
