The amount requested in this Sidewalk Program application is the sidewalk replacement cost of a larger reconstruction project. Roadway reconstruction is funded by the Surface Transportation Program. The sidewalk elements included in this application include ADA improvements, sidewalk, and bulb-outs necessary to meet intermodal transportation needs within the downtown core. These improvements are a continuation of the Citys downtown revitalization multi-phased project which intends to increase economic stability by replacing aging and nonscript infrastructure. The improvements will construct complete streets elements to encourage intermodal transportation and enhance pedestrian safety.
