North End Improvements Pedestrian Mar 2022 $75,000 $ 0
The city of Long Beach has been working on an improvement project for nearly two-years. There are five blocks between 21st NE and 26th NE that need lighting and sidewalks. This Is a high traffic area as it links residential and short-term rentals to the golf course. The city has purchased the light poles, globes and has a bid to start the electrical work. In the last year the city has also completed stormwater Improvements. This work has amounted to roughly $78,000. The last portion of the project Is the sidewalks (estimated to be $110,000). This money would be used to literally complete the street. The sidewalks would meet ADA requirements and be a great addition to the north end of Long Beach. If we were awarded $75,000 we would use local funds to finish the project. This is our number one priority.
