Project Description

This project will provide sidewalk along the north side of NE 170th St from 72nd Ave NE to 70th Ave NE where existing sidewalk currently ends. The proposed sidewalk would meet minimum requirements for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance. The existing R-turn only lane westbound on NE 170th will be changed to a buffered bike lane, the bike lane on the eastbound side of NE 170th will be extended west to the NE 170th intersection, and the existing bike lane near 72nd Ave NE will have a buffer added. These added bike lanes will connect the existing bike network on Juanita Dr/68th and the existing bike lanes east of 72nd St along Simonds Rd.
