Project Description

The 2024 Citywide Pedestrian Improvements consist of three separate projects including the Curb Ramp Improvements Project (CRIP), W Moore St Pedestrian Improvements Project (CDBG), and the Citywide RRFB Project (SEE Vicinity Map Attached). The CRIP locations have gaps in pedestrian travel owing to both nonexistent and substandard ADA ramps across the city. The project will construct necessary ADA ramp retrofits inorder to remove sidewalk gaps. The CRIP Project is currently out to bid and is construction ready. The CDBG location has no existing pedestrian facilities. The project will construct ADA ramps and new sidewalk to create a continuous pedestrian accessible route. The CDBG project is currently at 60% Design. The Citywide RRFB Project (CRP) locations are high volume crossings on arterial roadways in the vicinity of public schools, colleges, parks, businesses, and the YMCA.
