Project Description

Construction ready project rebuilds Main Street to accomodate more people-centric activities with wider sidewalks, bicycle lane, and slower traffic speeds from Grand Avenue to Spring Street. Larger curb bulbs will shorten crosswalk distances, improve visibility, and make it safer for all users to cross. East of Kamiaken, a road diet will reduce Main Street from three lanes to two. The addition of an off-street raised bike lane paved in color will improve non-motorized connectivity. Pedestrian lighting, cla pavers, landscaping, and newly placed street trees will cultivate a welcoming downtown atmosphere. Main & Pine will add RRFB's. TIB will be contributing $1,000,000 to the overall project to allow the addition of several ad-alternates that the City would not have been able to fund on their own.
