Project Description

An intersection control evaluation study was performed during preliminary stages of this project to determine the best solution to meet the needs of the intersection. This evaluation looked at widening, installing a signal, and construction of a roundabout as potential solutions. The study determined that the widening option would only provide short term benefits and is not a sustainable option. Signal installation was determined to be potential solution, however, not the best solution. The best solution was determined to be single lane roundabout. A single lane roundabout will be the safest, most efficient, and sustainable improvement for this intersection.
