School Street and W Pine Street see heavy bus traffic. The existing road way is experiencing failures in multiple areas and is generally in a deteriorated state. Currently, school staff parks along School St., immediately south of its intersection with U.S. 12. This results in conflicts between vehicles turning onto School St. and parked vehicles. Existing curb ramps and sidewalk along W Pine Street are out of ADA compliance.

Project Description
Reconstruct the existing roadway by Full Depth Reclamation with a 6-inch cement treated base, surfaced with 3-inches of HMA. The project will also construct/improve existing pedestrian infrastructure inclusion of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) for street crossings. The RRFBs are proposed at the intersection of School Street and W. Pine St. and at the intersection of Park St., W. Pine St., and US 12.To limit access from U.S. 12, W. Pine Street is proposed to be a one way street, with angled parking.
