Project Description

Full reconstruction of S 5th Avenue from W Hawthorn St to S 8th Ave. The City will reconstruct the water line prior to construction of this project.

Existing Condition

S. 5th Avenue serves the primary industrial area in Connell and has heavy truck traffic on a daily basis. The City shop, potato sheds, and Lamb Weston use this route frequently to access their facilities. These are major employers for the area. The water line is scheduled for replacement in 2022 or 2023 which will further degrade the roadway condition.
