Existing ConditionsThe community needs this project to address significant accessibility barriers. Several intersections in the area lack curb ramps, which impedes safe and easy access for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. Additionally, the current driveway crossings have cross slopes that exceed standard maximums, creating hazardous conditions for those using assistive devices. These issues prevent equitable access and pose safety risks. Installing ADA-compliant curb ramps and correcting driveway cross slopes will remove these obstacles, ensuring a safer, more inclusive environment for all residents, particularly those with mobility impairments. |
