Existing ConditionsNorth Bend adopted a Complete Streets Ordinance to guide the development of future transportation projects. A Complete Streets approach aims for an integrated transportation network that is accessible, safe, and convenient for all users. This includes people of all ages and abilities walking, riding bicycles, driving private motor vehicles, taking transit, or delivering freight. Much needed reduced level of traffic, bicycle and pedestrian use along the corridor. While the City of North Bend has recently implemented traffic and zoning changes to the study area, a complete street plan further promotes the existing small-town feel of the city while also improving safety in multimodal travel and connectivity. |
