Existing ConditionsThis project either adds new or removes/replaces 46 ADA ramps in Coulee Dam per the attached exhibit. The goal with this project is to meet ADA ramp requirements in this area then submit for preservation funding the following year. The need is very straightforward, the City must meet the 2010 ADA requirements to the maximum extent feasible and either ADA ramps do not exist in these areas or the existing ramps do not comply with current standards. Several ramp replacements occur around the schools, commercial areas, and on the State Highway. This project will be advertised as a single package with the Safe Routes to School project that was awarded to the City earlier this year. |

The solution is to install or upgrade existing ramps to comply with the ADA standards and move forward with phase 2 of the project, which is preservation funding for this area of Town.
