Existing Conditions

The Interurban Trail is a major pedestrian/bicyclist pathway primarily running North-South from South Seattle to South East Pierce County. The existing crossing requires users of the Interurban Trail crossing to be inconvenienced by taking a detour of upwards to 300 feet to the nearest intersection and/or crosswalk. This detour and delay has led to significant jay walking.
