Existing ConditionsMany of our streets have the potential to be seal coated with chip seal for preservation, but there are portions of these streets that need significant pre-level work with HMA. The HMA prelevel work should be done at least year prior to the seal coat because fresh HMA tends to adsorb the oil to quickly, which results in poor adherence of the rock chips. |

Summary of Improvements
Description of Improvements
Prelevel streets at least one year in advance of a chip seal project. Current City priorities for future prelevel work are on Cedar, Park, Arland, Kennaston and Elma Avenues. All areas are not reasonably expected to be funded in one year and are a continuation of previous work.
