Existing Conditions

The sections of roadway have significant pavement failures causing numerous longitudinal and transverse cracks to the asphalt and poor or no drainage facilities which contributes to pavement edge erosion. Second Ave. is an east-west corridor that provides access to and through residential, religious, and educational institutions. Eight Street is a north-south that provides access to and through residential, retail,and governmental services institutions.This project will improve the pavement conditions, stormwater drainage, and pedestrian safety and access to the downtown.

Summary of Improvements

Description of Improvements

The project will improve the city street network connecting residential homes to the downtown while providing the city with the ability to construct public infrastructure improvements to encourage development within its downtown corridor. This project will provide stormwater and utility enhancements, and roadway improvements with pedestrian curb bump outs.
