Existing Conditions1st Street is the primary connection between Highway 2 and the communities north of May Creek. As such, it experiences significant traffic and is experiencing deterioration of the existing road surface. Given that the alternative means of accessing these neighborhoods is unweildly and difficult, it is in the communities interest to maintain a safe primary access. |

Proposed improvements include grinding and overlaying the existing road surface to extend lifespan and provide an improved travel surface. The project will also upgrade ADA crossings as required at impacted intersections.
