Interstate Avenue is a main thoroughfare to schools, parks, food, and lodging. It is centrally located between Recreation Park, Stan Hedwall Park, Community Pool, and Penny Playground. Currently the sidewalks on Interstate Avenue are intermittent and lead to driveways which create unsafe and ADA non-compliant pedestrian access routes.

Project Description
By connecting new pedestrian infrastructure to existing frontage on the east side of Interstate Avenue from Parkland to Best Western, along with the addition of clear markings, and ADA compliant ramps, the currently safety hazard would be mitigated. Pedestrians would have easier access to and from local restaurants, parks, and lodging.
