The City of Black Diamond has sidewalk on the east side of SR 169. The east side of SR 169 is almost completely residential, while many businesses and the Black Diamond Elementary School is located on the west side of the highway. There is only one crosswalk on SR 169 at Baker Street. The City has just recently finished building a new skatepark at Park Street and SR 169. A crosswalk at Park Street would add extra connectivity for the residents on the east side of the street to walk to the downtown area, school, and recreational facilities.
