The City of Burien has identified pedestrian safety as a high priority through its recently developed Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. Crash history, traffic volumes, pedestrian networks, and community feedback were analyzed to identify locations with high risk for people walking and biking. The City has identified 6 priority locations that experience both high vehicle traffic and high pedestrian traffic volumes, and that serve common pedestrian routes located near key community destinations (transit, schools, public facilities, etc.) S 144th Way Miller Creek Trail Crossing, S 120th St 20th Ave S, S 146th St 5th Pl S, SW 158th St 4th Ave SW, 10th Ave S S 128th St, and SW 152nd 21st Ave SW.
