Our ADA Transition Plan shows around 94% of curb ramps under ADA standards 65% have significant accessibility barriers, based on condition and public input. Input from mobility advocates Sequim Wheelers, volunteering adaptive rides for folks unable to bike themselves, identified poor curb ramps causing instability for cyclists. Curb ramps included in this project continue the effort to address primary deficiencies prioritized to improve access to transit, senior care, healthcare and retail facilities.

Project Description
Replacement of 41 curb ramps with ADA deficiencies on three collector streets adjacent to public, medical and commercial facilities, stormwater improvements, and installation of safety beacons.
Existing Condition
Project Benefits
- This project will replace 41 curb ramps with enhanced, accessible curb ramp facilities compliant with ADA standards, building off 61 curb ramps replaced in 2025 with TIB support. This project targets improvements to curb ramps on three collector streets which provide access to the regional shared use Olympic Discovery Trail, significant commercial businesses, medical facilities, retirement/assisted living facilities and school district facilities. Improving these key pedestrian facilities align the main collectors with its complete streets ordinance, enhancing the accessibility and safety of high-use sidewalks.
