Project Description

This project includes improvements to the pedestrian sidewalk immediately west of Tolt Middle School. The existing sidewalk is a raised asphalt pedestrian pathway against a concrete curb. The pathway includes two sections of sidewalk, spans two vehicle access points, and contains concrete, low slope pedestrian access points to each section (4 total). The existing facilities are in poor condition, and exhibit cracking, spalling concrete, uneven surfaces, uneven edges (trip hazards), and failed/delaminated ADA ramp warning plates. This project will include removal and wastehauling of theexisting pedestrian facilities, and installation of new concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, and ADA compliant entry and exit ramps (2 each). The proposed facilities will be aligned with adjacent pedestrian walkfacilities and will be installed according to current Right-of-Way extents. There are existing stormwater and potable water utilities that will be affected, and these components will be adjusted as required to accommodate the new facilities. Asphalt pavement repair will also be included with the project asrequired to facilitate installation of the new facilities.
