As a part of the Citys Non-Motorized Plan, a 2.4 mile sidewalk connection between Steilacoom Boulevard. and Washington Boulevard. is to be constructed along Hipkins Rd., 104th St., Idlewild Rd., 112th St., and Interlaaken Drive, Existing sidewalk within the corridor accounts for 0.7 miles. The City is currently constructing sidewalk along Hipkins Rd., extending it an additional 1.0 miles. The project described in this application would extend sidewalk an additional 0.2 miles. The City is planning a project to construct the final 0.7 miles of sidewalk in 2025 along Interlaaken Dr. between 112th St. and Washington Blvd. This will connect Idlewild Elementary to numerous residences throughout the area.
