At present, an existing section of sidewalk along Alder ends abruptly halfway down the 100 block, forcing pedestrians including residents accessing the Post Office into the vehicle travel lane to avoid parked cars along the shoulder. Cedar Street Cedar Street, located near The Society Hotel and Bingens commercial district, has no pedestrian infrastructure at all. Without sidewalks.

Project Description
This project will construct new curb, gutter, and sidewalk along Cedar and Alder Street from Steuben to Franklin Street. This project will include curb bulbouts.

Project Benefits
- This project will construct 1.5 blocks of new sidewalk along the west side of Alder Street from Steuben to Franklin and install sidewalks along both the east and west sides of Cedar Street between Steuben and Humboldt, creating a safe, separated route for pedestrians and establishing a clear, walkable connection to transit, businesses, and Daubenspeck Park. In conjunction with this project, a sidewalk will be installed along the east side of Cedar Street between Humboldt and Franklin funded by The Society Hotel.
