Project Description

Add pedestrian and bike facilities on both sides of the road. The westbound bike lane (downhill) is proposed to be shared (sharrow) while the eastbound lane (uphill) will be a designated bike lane. Six(6) foot sidewalks are proposed on both sides and will connect with City of East Wenatchees proposed crosswalk facilities at N Kentucky Ave and 5th St NE. On the north side, Douglas County proposes to match the design of the City sidewalk for visual consistency. Speeds are proposed to be reduced from 30 mph to 25 mph to decrease impacts to multimodal traffic. Illuminated intersections and ADA compliant ramps will improve intersection access and safety for pedestrians.
