Project Description

This project is to complete the final gap of improvements between previous projects while preserving and upgrading the corridor to meet current urban safety standards. Elements include widening the corridor to accommodate a continuous two way left center turn lane and bicycle facilities (sharrow with 13-foot-wide outside lanes.). Curb gutter and sidewalks and street lighting will be installed along both sides of the corridor and the storm system will be reconstructed to meet the new cross section. Audible pedestrian crossing hardware and other ADA upgrades will be added to the signal at 75th St W. Full depth pavement reconstruction will be necessary in areas of suspected base failure and the road will be milled and profiled with pre-level and a 2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay will renew the road surface.
