Project Description

The proposed improvements to N Chelan Avenue from Poplar to 3rd Street are to reconstruct the existing 4 feet of pavement on the edge of the existing roadway. An additional 2 feet will be added to provide a full 6 feet of reconstruction on each side, widening the roadway. In addition, the shoulder will be reconstructed and graded with gravel for a smooth, safe and wider shoulder. A new HMA layer will also be added to finish the roadway to improve the surface. The pre-leveling will be used to prepare the existing grade to create the appropriate surface for overlay.
