Granite Falls alternate route groundbreaking set for July 2
July 1, 2009 - The groundbreaking celebration will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the intersection of Engebretsen and Jordan roads in Granite Falls.
Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon, U.S. Senator Patty Murray, U.S. Congressman Rick Larsen, local officials and residents will gather Thursday, July 2, to celebrate the long-awaited groundbreaking of the Granite Falls Alternate Route.

The project, more than 12 years in the making, is being funded through a combination of local, state and federal money. Other project partners include the state’s Freight Mobility Board, Transportation Improvement Board, federal transportation funds, city of Granite Falls and Snohomish County.
