City of Duvall's Main Street (SR 203)
Main Street (SR 203) - Cherry Valley Rd to Valley St
This project will revitalize downtown Duvall, improve traffic flow, reduce accidents, provide an attractive and safe environment for vehicles and pedestrian, improve water quality by collecting and treating storm water, and improve aesthetics by adding lighting, landscaping, and street furniture. In addition, the city is funding improvements to water and sewer systems, which will be built in conjunction with this project.

Project Goals:
A primary goal of the Main Street Redevelopment Project is to make this part of town a safe and more pedestrian-oriented city center. There are currently more than 13,000 vehicles a day on Main Street, making crossing the street or having a shopping experience difficult. The project will add concrete crossings and curb extensions to all intersections, shortening the distance pedestrians have to be in the travel lanes. The project will also reduce vehicle speeds with the installation of a low center median, which will standardize the travel lanes creating a consistent lane which in turn will cause vehicles to slow down. New sidewalks, tree grates, road and pedestrian lighting, small public spaces, public art, and other public amenities will make Historic Duvall a more inviting place for both businesses and pedestrians alike.
