Existing ConditionsSE Grace Avenue is the main north/south corridor serving Battle Ground's industrial core. It connects with NE Grace Avenue via an offset intersection with E Main Street, causing significant delays, safety concerns including accidents, and has proven to hinder private investment in and around Battle Ground. This corridor provides a connection between Battle Ground Village and Old Town and the Community Center. The lack of sidewalks and bike lanes make for a dangerous connection between these areas. The existing road directly abuts an unsignalized railroad crossing. |

The solution to the problem described above is to expand this corridor to the standard 3-lane section for a minor arterial including bike lanes and sidewalks. Additionally, realigning this leg so that it connects directly to NE Grace Avenue at E Main Street and signalizing the new intersection.
