Existing Conditions

The project will improve the connectivity of pedestrian traffic from residential and commercial areas to the Junior High School and High School located on the south side of A Street SE. It will also improve access to the United States Post Office located on the northeast corner of A Street SE and Spartan Ave and the veterans services located on the southside of A Street SE. The project will complete the pedestrian facilities along the north side of A street SE and S. Blackberry Ave (westside of road). Pedestrian ramps will be brought up to current ADA standards.

Description of Improvements

This project proposes to construct approximately 914 feet of sidewalk, ADA ramps, curb gutter and HMA repairs along new curb line for the following streets: Spartan Avenue between E. Division Street. A Street SE between Spartan Ave and S. Blackberry Ave. S. Blackberry Ave. between A Street SE and E. Division Street.
