Existing Conditions6th Street is one of the busiest roads in Coulee Dam serving the Casino, church, US Post Office, and grocery store. The roadway was originally construction out of concrete during the construction of Coulee Dam in the 1940s. The concrete cold joints have deteriorated through the decades resulting in full-depth voids up to 5 inches in width and is the Citys number one project. Various efforts have been made through the years to bridge reflected cracks, including various fabric, and overlays to no avail. The existing roadway has discontinuous sidewalks on one side, and existing crosswalks going across 6th Street do not have ramps. |
