Existing Conditions12th Street is a north/south connector street that provides access to downtown to the south and residential neighborhood to the north. The existing street surface is alligatored and cracking with areas of rutting and missing pavement. The east side of the roadway has curb, gutter, sidewalk and closed system drainage and is proposed to be retained. Three existing ADA ramps within the project limits do not meet current ADA requirements and will be updated. As there is limited storm drainage on the west side causing runoff to flow on to private property during heavy rainfall events, closed system drainage will be added to the west side and directed to a treatment and infiltration swale at the NW corner of 12th and Wakefield. |
