Existing ConditionsWest Frontage Road provides the I-5, northbound, exit 30, traffic access to the Port of Kalama which includes a large marina, a waterfront hotel with resturant, ampitheater and parks. This 50 mph street also is the primary route for large tractor trailers leaving and entering the City's Industrial zone. West Frontage Road provides the I-5, southbound, exit 30 traffic a direct route to the south end of the City, business district and elementary and high school . The existing pavement in the driving lanes has reached the end of it's life cycle and needs to be replaced. The pavement in the shoulders is in satisfactory condition. |

Provide a 4-Inch grind and inlay for the two 12 foot driving lanes from Oak Street to the terminus of the previous overlay at Kingwood Street. The existing shoulders are in fair condition and will be left as they are. There will be limited subgrade repair areas. The City plans on including this project and the Elm Street Project (TIB # 6-W-953(010)-1) in the same bid package in the Spring of 2020.
