About TIB's Key Performance Indicators

What are Key Performance Indicators?

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are a performance management tool that helps an organization define and measure progress toward organizational goals and reflects the critical success factors of the organization. Key Performance Indicators look at long term results, thus the definition of what they are and how they are measured does not change often. The goals for a particular KPI may change as the organization's goals change or as it gets closer to achieving a goal. KPIs give everyone in the organization a clear picture of what is important for success.

How does TIB select their Key Performance Indicators?

TIB's Key Performance Indicators support the mission of the TIB – The funding of high priority transportation projects in communities throughout the state to enhance the movement of people, goods and services. Maintaining the financial health of our funding programs and providing solid customer service are key to fulfilling our mission. Our Key Performance Indicators were selected to reflect these goals and provide a way for us to gauge how successful we have been in meeting them.
